LOMO Goa.

These are from the first roll I developed from my Lomo Diana F+. I tried everything I could, filters, multiple exposures, 1/2 exposures, to get a hang of it. Will create something more explosive in the next lot. Keep looking!

The salt desert.

The white salt desert in the Rann the Kutchh is an amazing place. There is no reference of distance or sound or anything. Your sense of space and time goes for a toss. All you can hear is the wind blowing. Pure meditative peace of mind.

lekin kyoon?

One thing I've learnt while studying design is the the very fundamental necessity of asking WHY every now and then ( every 10 min. approx.). There are so many unnecessary rules and guidelines that are created and stored in our brain. The best we can do is not let our brain fool us or fool ourselves enough to think that we are not being fooled by our foolish brain. Both work.
But why?

Sell Graphic Design.

We ( my classmates and me) were asked to sell graphic design to our confused juniors. Each one of us was allowed to have one slide along with something to say about why we loved graphic design personally.
Well this is one of the reasons i have for loving it. I think what we learn in graphic design keeps us quite sane. On one hand we develop OCDs for type on the other we love doing flowy illustrations. There is always a balance of obsessions and reality checks. I made this artwork to show how we can use our learning of this therapeutic design discipline. (1)To make money. (2)As a language to voice our obsessions and remain sane forever! Yay Graphic Design!

Calender2012

Im tired of linearity. Specially that of time. So, I tried this calender which is based on days and not months (dont get bewildered by the lines it works quite simply). The whole perception of time becomes quite jumpy because of that.
A lot of interesting combinations become evident. For example, the constant sets of numbers which re-cur in different orders in different months. I have traced this order using colored lines. These lines, through dates or directly, cross the centre as a compulsion. Some orders of sets are identical. The pattern progresses in a parallel fashion.
There may be a lot of other stuff like this that I havent noticed yet. Im goin to try and use this for a few months and see if it has any effect on my routine or way of organizing/thinking.
